The Price and Distribution of Goods Act outlines the provisions on Trader’s licenses. Under this Act, there should be no trading of goods without a Trader’s License, save and except:
- The Trader is a Commission Agent or a Transient Trader; or
- The value of the stock is less than $500.00.
Notwithstanding the aforementioned, Trader’s license attracts an applicable fee based on the stock value and is payable annually as follows:
- XCD $25.00 – where the stock is valued at more than XCD$1,000.00 but not more than XCD$10,000.00
- XCD $50.00 – where the stock is valued at more than XCD$10,000.00 but not more than XCD$100,000.00
- XCD $125.00 – where the stock is valued at more than XCD $100,000.00 but more than XCD $1000,000.00
- XCD $500.00- where the stock is valued at more than XCD$1000, 000.00.
