To be the lead Agency for the promotion and protection of consumer welfare and fair trade in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Areas of Service

The Department of Internal Trade and Commerce provides the following services:

• Process Import and Export licenses
• Process Trader’s licenses
• Conduct product price monitoring and market surveillance
• Provide information to consumers and suppliers regarding their rights and obligations under the Consumer Protection Act and conduct consumer education and awareness programmes
• Receive and evaluate consumer complaints and take appropriate action in relation thereto
