An export license is required for the exportation of conchs, lobster, scrap metal and copper.

For the exportation of Lobster and Conchs

  • An export fee of XCD$0.50 and XCD$1.00 per pound is applicable for the export of conchs and lobster, respectively.
  • All applications (four copies) must be taken to the Fisheries Division (Ministry of Agriculture, etc.) for approval.
  • Submit all copies of the Form along with cash or cheque to the Consumer Affairs Division for processing.

For the exportation of Scrap metal and copper

  • An applicable fee of XCD $300.00 for each export of scrap metal and copper.
  • All applications (four copies) must be taken to the CWSA for scrap metal for the Certificate of Inspection.
  • Submit all copies of the forms along with cash or cheque to the Consumer Affairs Division for processing.

Import Permit

Under the 1900 Plant and Protection Regulations, a Phytosanitary Certificate is required from the country of export to accompany all plants or vegetables that are being imported. Applications for the Plant and Plant Materials Permit must be made through the Ministry of Agriculture Plant and Quarantine Division in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Import License

An Export Health Certificate from the country of export must accompany all animal, meat and meat products that are being imported into Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The import licence application must be completed in triplicate and submitted at the Ministry of Agriculture Animal Health and Production Division for approval, before it is processed by the Department of Consumer Affairs.

The following items are restricted from countries outside the Organization of the Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and Belize. However, they may only be imported if a licence is obtained from the Minister with responsibility for Consumer Affairs and Internal Trade.

  • Wheat flour
  • Margarine
  • Shortening
  • Pasta products, whether or not cooked or stuffed or otherwise prepared
  • Aerated beverages
  • Malta
  • Beer
  • Stout
  • Oxygen
  • Carbon dioxide
  • Acetylene
  • Candles
  • Toilet paper
  • Solar water heaters
  • Chairs and other seats of wood and upholstered fabric
  • Other furniture of wood and upholstered fabric
