Welcome to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade. The Ministry is responsible for coordinating Saint Vincent and the Grenadines' relations with foreign governments, as well as regional and international organizations. It seeks to create opportunities for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the field of foreign trade through the negotiation and monitoring of the relevant agreements and treaties.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines’ campaign to become a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) was a resounding success. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was able to attain the seat that is allocated to the Group of Latin America and Caribbean States (GRULAC) for the period of January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2021, with the support of 185 Member States; over 90% of the United Nations membership. The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is grateful to Member States for their support.
His Excellency Dr. Jaushieh Joseph Wu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan), will visit Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on Wednesday 29th to Thursday 30th May 2019, as part of his official tour of the Caribbean.
Mr. Didier Trebucq, United Nations Resident Coordinator of the UN Sub-regional Office for Barbados and the Organisation of the Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), presented Letters of Credence to Prime Minister, Dr.The Hon. Ralph E. Gonsalves on April 9, 2019.
