The Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) Fellowship Programme is an initiative launched by the United States Department of State to empower young entrepreneurs from Latin America, the Caribbean, and Canada. The programme aims to provide young leaders with the skills, resources, and networks necessary to drive economic growth and promote positive social change within their communities.

Through the YLAI Fellowship Programme, selected participants will undergo a comprehensive professional development experience, which includes a four-week professional placement at a U.S. entrepreneurial organisation, participation in the YLAI Entrepreneurial Leadership Curriculum developed by IREX and Arizona State University, attendance at a welcome workshop and closing forum in the United States, and access to post-fellowship sustained engagement opportunities.

The programme is open to individuals between the ages of 25 and 35 who demonstrate a commitment to entrepreneurship, leadership, and community service. Participants will receive financial support from the U.S. government, including assistance with visa processing, travel expenses, housing, and meal stipends.

Persons who are interested in participating in this programme are encouraged to visit the official YLAI Fellows website: https://ylai.state.gov/fellowship, for additional information. All applications are to be submitted online using the aforementioned link. The deadline for applications is June 5th, 2024.
