The Ministry is responsible for coordinating Saint Vincent and the Grenadines' relations with foreign governments, as well as regional and international organizations. It seeks to create opportunities for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the field of foreign trade through the negotiation and monitoring of the relevant agreements and treaties.
The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines welcomed His Excellency Simon Mustard, newly appointed British High Commissioner to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, on an official visit.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was represented at the Eighth Session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (GPDRR), held in Geneva, Switzerland, from 2nd - 6th June, 2025. The delegation included Ms. Michelle Forbes, Director of the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO), and Ms. Janeel Drayton, Counsellor at the Permanent Mission to the United Nations.
A delegation from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is actively participating in the ongoing Sixtieth Meeting of the Council for Trade and Economic Development (COTED), convened in Georgetown, Guyana. This critical gathering of regional Ministers and senior trade officials is taking place in a shifting global trade environment, as CARICOM Member States seek to reinforce economic resilience and deepen integration.
