Welcome to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade. The Ministry is responsible for coordinating Saint Vincent and the Grenadines' relations with foreign governments, as well as regional and international organizations. It seeks to create opportunities for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the field of foreign trade through the negotiation and monitoring of the relevant agreements and treaties.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Commerce added three (3) new envoys to its list of accredited ambassadors as a means of strengthening diplomatic ties with Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The countries are the Republic of El Savador, the Republic of Ghana, and the Republic of Ecuador.
On Thursday, 26th July, 2018, the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) elected, by acclamation, H.E. I. Rhonda King, Permanent Representative of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to the United Nations, as its new President at its 2019 opening session. Ambassador King is the fourth female, the first woman from the Latin American and Caribbean region and the first woman from the Global South to serve as the President of ECOSOC.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Commerce, has been working in conjunction with the High Commission of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in London, to explore possibilities for the recruitment of Vincentians in the Royal Navy.
