Diplomacy. Development. Democracy.

We lead the nation’s foreign relations, international trade, diaspora engagement, and global partnerships — advancing our national interests at home and abroad.

The Protocol and Consular Unit ensures that all diplomatic representatives receive proper treatment and are accorded, under domestic regulations and practice, immunities and privileges to which they are entitled.  This includes an unimpeded performance of their functions and those of their missions, in the interest of successful development of international relations.
