The Ministry is responsible for coordinating Saint Vincent and the Grenadines' relations with foreign governments, as well as regional and international organizations. It seeks to create opportunities for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the field of foreign trade through the negotiation and monitoring of the relevant agreements and treaties.
Government of Mexico Donates Astrzeneca Vaccines to the People of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
On Friday, February 18th, 2022, a Mexican aircraft landed at the Argyle International Airport carrying ten thousand (10,000) doses of the Aztrazeneca vaccine to donate to the Government and People of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines from the Government of Mexico to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade's World Creativity Innovation Day Competition
Every year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade hosts an Essay Writing Competition which targets the youth of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to hone their research and writing abilities while gaining in-depth knowledge on local, regional, and international affairs and events via research and applicability to their lives, as well as to the Vincentian society.
Stolen Vincentian Artifacts Returned to the Embassy of SVG in Washington D.C.
On Thursday, 20th January, 2022, representatives from the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) returned stolen Vincentian artifacts to the Embassy of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in Washington D.C, USA.
