Welcome to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Consumer Affairs. The Ministry is responsible for coordinating Saint Vincent and the Grenadines' relations with foreign governments, as well as regional and international organizations. It seeks to create opportunities for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the field of foreign trade through the negotiation and monitoring of the relevant agreements and treaties.
The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, collaborates with the United Nations Barbados and Eastern Caribbean, in celebration of United Nations (UN), Day, which is observed annually on October 24th. UN Day has been celebrated since 1948 and marks the anniversary of the entry into force of the UN Charter in 1945.
On Monday, October 11, 2021 Hon. Carlos James, Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture signed two agreements on behalf of the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines with the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade’s Conference Room. The Agreements were signed in preparation for the inaugural Virgin Atlantic direct flight to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, scheduled to commence operation in SVG from Wednesday, October 13 2021. Witnessing the signing was Resident British Commissioner of the British High Commission, H.E.Steve Moore.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has been added to the list of countries for which travellers fully (i.e. two doses and the second one being at least two weeks ago) vaccinated with AstraZeneca (including Covishield), Pfizer, Moderna or Janssen are exempt from quarantine in England.
