Honourable Dwight Fitzgerald Bramble, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and Diaspora Affairs, participated virtually in the 62nd Regular Meeting of Council for Trade and Economic Development (COTED) on Thursday, June 11th, 2026. The meeting is being held from June 11th-12th at the CARICOM Secretariat Headquarters in Georgetown, Guyana.
As a principal organ of Caribbean Community (CARICOM), COTED is responsible for promoting regional trade and economic development and overseeing the implementation and operation of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME).
During the meeting, Minister Bramble reaffirmed Saint Vincent and the Grenadines' commitment to regional integration, stating: "The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is committed to ensuring that the CSME delivers for our people as it was envisioned to do. We must redouble our efforts to address longstanding barriers to the free movement of goods, services, and capital among Member States, ensuring that the benefits of integration are shared equitably across the Community."
The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines remains committed to advancing the objectives of the CSME and supporting initiatives that promote sustainable economic growth, deeper regional cooperation, and shared prosperity across the Caribbean Community.
