On Tuesday, 29 September 2026, the government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines welcomed His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, Minister of State of Qatar, and his delegation on an official visit to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

During the visit, His Excellency Dr. Al-Khulaifi and his delegation participated in a courtesy call on His Excellency Stanley Kendrick John, KC and a joint meeting with the Honourable Dr. Godwin Friday, Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and the Honourable Dwight Fitzgerald Bramble, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and Diaspora Affairs.

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for both sides to exchange views on bilateral and multilateral issues. Discussions encompassed areas including climate change, water security, energy transition, and opportunities for further cooperation between two countries.

The State of Qatar and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines established diplomatic relations on 21 March, 2017. The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines looks forward to further deepening and expanding bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, with a view to fostering a dynamic, mutually beneficial and enduring partnership between the two countries and their peoples.
