The MAgriScience (Agriculture) offers a wide range of research topics including animal science, pastoral science, crop science, soil science, weed science, agroforestry, agricultural systems and agricultural engineering. Massey University has good research facilities which are available for use by postgraduate students. Dairy, sheep and beef and deer farms are located adjacent to the Palmerston North campus. In addition, a number of research facilities are also available, including the Pasture and Crop Research Unit, the Fertiliser and Lime Research Centre, the New Zealand Centre for Precision Agriculture and an ISTA-accredited seed testing laboratory.
