- Request the conditions from the Animal Health and Production Division for the type of animal to be imported and the country of export.
- Importer need to provide the conditions to the Veterinary services in the exporting country.
- An application for import is submitted to Animal Health and Production Division for an import permit. Information required: full name and address of importer and exporter, description of animal (specie, breed, age, color, Identification number) and number of animals. For pets health records must be submitted along with the application
- Import permit is processed within at least three working days (due to disease risk analysis of exporting countries).
- After issuance of the import permit an appointment is made for inspection at least 24 hours before arrival of animal (s).
- Upon inspection of animal (s) importer must present the following documents: original export health certificate, valid permit and health records.
- Animal(s) inspected and verified that all the conditions have been met and product is released.
