- Collect traders’ license for importation.
- Apply to veterinary division under the application for license to import before order is placed. Information required: country of origin of product and full name and address of importer and exporter, description of item, quantity (units and weight) and estimated value. (Import permit is processed within at least three working days, due to disease risk analysis of exporting countries).
- After issuance of the import permit an appointment is made for inspection at least 24 hrs before arrival of product.
- Upon inspection of product(s) importer must present the following documents: valid license and permit, original health certificate.
- For commercial shipments a pre-delivery or entry with invoice, ASYCUDA waybill and bill of lading. All products must have an inspection and plant number corresponding to the health certificate.
- For non-commercial (small amount), must have a receipt from supermarket or warehouse, valid license and permit and product in original package in which it was purchase.
- Product is inspected and verified that all the conditions have been met and product is released.
