Welcome to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade. The Ministry is responsible for coordinating Saint Vincent and the Grenadines' relations with foreign governments, as well as regional and international organizations. It seeks to create opportunities for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the field of foreign trade through the negotiation and monitoring of the relevant agreements and treaties.

Please see attached for your attention, information on a Professional Development Scholarship Programme titled "Promoting Innovation: Licensing Academy in Intellectual Property and Technology Commercialization". The course will be delivered onsite and will be taught in English at the International Law Programme University of California at Davis, California, USA from 22nd June - 3rd July, 2015. 

Scholarships recipients will be selected from among applications submitted to the OAS Department of Human Development, Education and Employment through the National Liaison Office (ONE) in each Member State.

National Liaison Offices in the Member States are requested to submit no more than four (4) application for this course.

The deadline for receiving the applications in Washington, D.C. is May 22, 2015.

The OAS Department of Human Development and Education and the OAS Department of Sustainable Development in collaboration with the American University in Washington DC, are offering scholarships for the course: “Trade and Environmental Seminar”. The course will be delivered onsite and will be taught in English.

The course will be delivered at the College of Law at the American University campus in Washington DC, will take place from June 15th, to June 19th, 2015. Scholarships recipients will be selected from among applications submitted to the OAS Department of Human Development and Education through the National Liaison Office (ONE) in each Member State.

The deadline for receiving the applications in Washington, D.C. May 15th, 2015.

The online application form must be completed on-line and can be accessed at: http://www.oas.org/en/scholarships/professionaldev.asp here you will find the announcements of the PDSP courses, click on the one you are interested in, go through the end of the page, then you’ll find the “Continue” button which will direct you to the online form that you must fill out.

NOTE: Representations of the OAS in the Member States are requested to acknowledge receipt of this announcement and to verify that the scholarship applications are sent in a timely manner.

National Liaison Offices in the Member States are requested to submit no more than four (4) applications for this course. If the number of applications received exceeds the number specified, the OAS Department of Human Development and Education will request the corresponding Permanent Mission to the OAS in Washington, DC to conduct a pre-selection of the candidates submitted by the ONE in order to reduce the number to that requested in this message.

In those cases where a Member State has more than one National Liaison Office (ONE), the member state is asked to submit only one list with the names of the maximum number of the recommended candidates as requested by Department of Human Development and Education (DHDE).
