The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines unequivocally condemns the unacceptable and unjustified killing of over sixty Palestinians, including and eight month old baby and injuring of hundreds more by the Israeli Defence Forces on Monday May 14, 2018, in Palestinian territory. It is shameful that some allies internationally are seeding to defend the abhorrent actions of the Israeli Authorities. In so doing, the Israelis and their allies are making a mockery of international law, human rights, and their claim to be acting on some yet to be discerned high principle. Unnecessary and unjustifiable brutality cannot be justified. The indiscriminate shooting of the Palestinians happened while the new US Embassy was being opened with pompous disdain of settled international opinion.
