It seeks to create opportunities for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the field of foreign trade through the negotiation and monitoring of the relevant agreements and treaties.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Commerce takes this opportunity to announce the decision to appoint Mr. Nigel R. Russell as the Honorary Consul of The Cooperative Republic of Guyana to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Commerce added three (3) new envoys to its list of accredited ambassadors as a means of strengthening diplomatic ties with Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The countries are the Republic of El Savador, the Republic of Ghana, and the Republic of Ecuador.
On Thursday, 26th July, 2018, the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) elected, by acclamation, H.E. I. Rhonda King, Permanent Representative of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to the United Nations, as its new President at its 2019 opening session. Ambassador King is the fourth female, the first woman from the Latin American and Caribbean region and the first woman from the Global South to serve as the President of ECOSOC.
