His Excellency, Archbishop Fortunatus Nwachukwu, Apostolic Nuncio-Ambassador to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, presented his Letters of Credence to His Excellency, Sir Frederick Ballantyne, Governor General of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on Wednesday May 29, 2019.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines’ campaign to become a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) was a resounding success. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was able to attain the seat that is allocated to the Group of Latin America and Caribbean States (GRULAC) for the period of January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2021, with the support of 185 Member States; over 90% of the United Nations membership. The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is grateful to Member States for their support.
