The Consumer Affairs Division within the Department of Trade, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade, Commerce and Regional Integration, will join with the rest of the world to observe World Consumer Rights Day on Tuesday, 15th March 2016.  The theme for this year is "Antibiotics off the Menu".

Consumer organizations from around the world, in partnership with Consumers International, will be using World Consumer Rights Day as a platform to appeal to food companies to make a global commitment to consider not serving meat from animals raised with the routine use of antibiotics important to human medicine.

Goods Circulation and monitoring throughout the OECS

Officer responsible for trade facilitation and free circulation of goods within the Trade Policy Unit of the OECS Commission, Cosbert Woods, has highlighted the critical role of the OECS Port Authorities in the free movement of goods throughout the region.

Workshop on the OECS - Organs, Functions And The Operationalisation Of The Economic Union

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade, Commerce and Regional Integration, in collaboration with the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), Commission will be hosting a training workshop on OECS - Organs, Functions and the operationalization of the Economic Union.

Visit of French Ambassador

Ambassador Stephane Dovert, Regional Counselor for Co-operation of the French Republic, made a two-day official visit to St. Vincent and the Grenadines from 10th -12th February to discuss the strengthening of partnership between this country and France in areas of mutual interest such as Education, Health and Culture.
