It seeks to create opportunities for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the field of foreign trade through the negotiation and monitoring of the relevant agreements and treaties.
On Tuesday January 12, 2016 H.E Reem Al Hashimy, the Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates, made an official visit to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, to discuss areas for the strengthening of diplomatic relations between both countries.
His Excellency Yuri Pimentel, Resident Ambassador of Venezuela to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Her Excellency Vilma Reyes Valdespino, Resident Ambassador of Cuba to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, presented their credentials to His Excellency Sir Frederick Ballantyne, Governor General of St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Monday 18th January, 2016 at Government House at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. respectively.
On September 26, 2015, Dr. the Honourable Ralph Gonsalves, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines signed a Memorandum of Agreement and a Contract of Resources related to the Cumberland Bridges Reconstruction and River Embankment Protection Project. This project is funded by the Government of Mexico under the Infrastructure Fund for Mesoamerica and the Caribbean under the supervision of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).
