The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, welcomed the newly accredited Ambassador of the European Union to Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean States, the OECS and CARICOM/CARIFORUM, Her Excellency Malgorzata Wasilewska.
On Friday December 18, 2020, H.E. Malgorzata Wasilewska presented letters of credence to Her Excellency, Dame Susan Dougan, Governor General of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Ambassador Wasilewska previously served as the Ambassador of the EU to Jamaica, Belize, The Bahamas, Turks and Caicos Islands and The Cayman Islands; and also served as Head of Division Conflict Prevention, Peace-building and Mediation at the European Union.
During her visit to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Ambassador Wasilewska also met with Prime Minister, Hon. Dr. Ralph E. Gonsalves, and leader of the Opposition, Hon. Dr. Godwin Friday. The Ambassador took the opportunity to visit the Buccament Polyclinic, which was funded by the European Union, and also visited the SVG Community College.
