A group of Vincentian Royal Navy recruits attended a meeting with the Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), Dr. the Hon. Ralph E. Gonsalves, during the week beginning 21st October.

The Naval Officers that attended the meeting with the Prime Minister included: LT RN Shabaka Kenyatta (Trinidadian), CPO Garnet Richardson, CPO Glevin Robinson, PO Duanette Mclaurean, PO Neshanta Creese, LH Makedia Antoine. Chief Petty Officers, Garnet Richardson and Glevin Robinson, presented the Crest of the HMS Dauntless, a Type 45 Destroyer within the UK Royal Navy to Prime Minister Gonsalves.

During the meeting between the Prime Minister and the Naval delegation, various experiences of the Vincentian delegation was touched upon, as to their various roles within the organization. The Prime Minister also touched briefly on the family history of a few members of the delegation, and where they would have originated from within SVG; especially a brief history of Trinidad and Tobago.

The twenty Vincentians and one Trinidadian, participated in the National Independence Military Parade, on 27th October.
