Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Commerce and Information Technology, Hon. Camillo Gonsalves, said that during this year the Government will continue to develop the nation’s medical sector.
He made this statement during a press briefing which was held on Friday 14th February for the handing over of a quantity of medical equipment from the Government of the Russian Federation. The equipment, which is valued over one hundred thousand U.S Dollars, includes an Intensive Care Infant Ventilator and Infant Incubators.
Minister Gonsalves said that during this year the Government will spend more than nine million dollars to modernize the medical sector.
Minister Gonsalves said that the Government of the Russian Federation has also provided engineers to train the Vincentian personnel to manage and operate the medical equipment which they donated to the country.
